The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek continues the crossover's successful second generation, adding an available 2.5-liter Boxer® engine upgrade and an all-new adventure-enhancing Sport trim level. Additionally, every Crosstrek model with a continuously variable automatic transmission comes standard with Subaru's EyeSight® suite of advanced driver-assistance technologies.Design and Accommodations
On the outside, the new Crosstrek's rugged yet refined style perfectly suits its intrepid capabilities. Clean-flowing lines and dynamic sculpting highlight its sporty nature, and an assertive front fascia and broad stance enhance Crosstrek's bold aesthetic. Standard roof rails offer convenient transportation of cartop carriers, bikes, or other sporting equipment. And with 8.7 inches of ground clearance, all-season tires, and wheel arch cladding, Crosstrek is ready to explore beyond paved roads.Despite its "subcompact" designation, Crosstrek makes great use of its interior space, providing roomy seating for five and up to 55.3 cubic feet of maximum cargo capacity. Performance
A 2.0-liter four-cylinder Boxer® engine motivates the new Subaru Crosstrek with 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque, sending power to all four wheels through a six-speed manual or Lineartronic® continuously variable transmission. Available X-MODE further enhances Crosstrek's off-road capability by automatically adjusting the throttle, transmission, all-wheel-drive, and hill-descent control.New for the 2021 model year, Crosstrek adds a more powerful 2.5-liter powerplant to the lineup. Standard on Sport and Limited trims, it produces 182 horsepower and 176 pound-feet of torque. And despite the energy boost, it maintains efficiency, achieving an EPA-estimated 34 mpg on the highway.

Technology and Safety
The 2021 Subaru Crosstrek comes standard with a 6.5-inch (or available 8-inch) STARLINK® Multimedia system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide seamless and intuitive smartphone integration, giving drivers easy access to hands-free apps and functions without being a distraction.Every CVT-equipped Crosstrek also comes standard with advanced EyeSight® driver-assistance technologies, including:

- Sport: The all-new Sport trim accentuates Crosstrek's adventurous style and capability. It features the more powerful BOXER engine and X-MODE traction and hill-descent control. Unique exterior elements include sport-type wheel-arch moldings, gunmetal accents, sport-type dark-gray-finished wheels, and exclusive available Plasma Yellow Pearl paint. On the inside, Crosstrek Sport gets distinctive features like water-repellant StarTex upholstery, yellow contrast stitching, and gunmetal and simulated carbon-fiber accents.
- Limited: Crosstrek's top tier comes standard with the 2.5-liter engine and the Premium trim's optional features. Other amenities include unique 18-inch wheels, steering-adaptive headlights, automatic high beams, leather upholstery, an 8-inch touchscreen, and reverse automatic braking.
